I see a picture, but I don't hear any sound on my TV |
Symptoms:
A picture appears on the television, but there is no sound on any of the channels.
Potential Solutions:
- Ensure that all applicable home entertainment components are powered on. Check the following: Your Digital PVR Box, TV, VCR, Stereo, Surround Sound Receiver and other components.
- Ensure that the MUTE option is not selected on any of your home entertainment components. Check the following: Your Digital PVR Box, TV, VCR, Stereo, Surround sound receiver other components.
- Ensure that the volume is turned up on all of your home entertainment components. Check the following: Your Digital PVR Box, TV, VCR, Stereo, Surround Sound Receiver and other components.
- If your home entertainment centre includes a VCR, Stereo Receiver, DVD or other components, there may be an issue with your cable connections. Ensure that all the cables are connected properly by referring to the instructions and diagram that most closely resemble your home entertainment centre in the Hookups section of this website.
- Your television or VCR may be tuned to the incorrect output channel or may be using the incorrect input selection.
- You may have the option to choose a fixed or variable audio option as described in the Settings section of this website. Ensure that the volume control is not set on the 'Fixed' option.
